Jordanian Occupation: Commemoratives 1949

In August 1949 a commemorative issue of Jordan for the 75th anniversary of the Universal Postal Union (design types 40 and 41, recess by Thomas De La Rue & Co., London) was overprinted (types P3 und P3a) for use on the West Bank. The overprint was made in colors black and red. The paper shows the regular Crown Agents watermark, type W9.
